Hello Resident PCSO Debby Delivers Vital Safety Education to Local Schools. Blackpool Neighbourhood Policing Team has been working closely with local schools to promote safety and wellbeing among young people. Over the past month, PCSO Debby has visited several primary schools to deliver educational sessions to Year 6 pupils. These sessions focused on raising awareness of the dangers associated with drugs – both legal and illegal – including the growing concerns around vaping. In addition to substance misuse, pupils were informed about the serious consequences of knife crime and the risks involved in carrying a weapon. The initiative aims to equip young people with the knowledge and confidence to make informed, positive choices as they transition into secondary school and beyond. PCSO Debby said: “It’s important that children understand the risks and consequences of these issues before they move into a new environment. I’d like to thank all the pupils and staff for their warm welcome and engagement throughout my visits, and I wish everyone a very Happy Christmas.” Kind regards Blackpool Police
